ROLLING ROAD DAY AT ENGINE ADVANTAGES

24th April 2005

On Sunday the 24th of April 16 members of the Kent RS owners club met at lakeside services around 8:30 in the morning, to make there way to Engine Advantages workshop for a power run on their rollers. We arrived at 9:20 and all parked up for the session, we met up with Paul from Engine Advantages and decided how to run the sixteen cars that we had planned for the day.

Once we had organized the cars we deiced to run the cars in the following order; front wheel drive, rear wheel drive and finally four wheel drive. The cars were placed in the following order starting off with the focus RS: We had five front wheel drives, five rear wheel drives and six 4x4`s with all there results listed below: Including there figures.

  • 9 Steve’s Sierra Sapphire Cosworth (2WD) 314bhp 253Lb/ft

  • 10 Blob’s M3 Evo 316bhp Lb/ft

  • 11 Ray’s Escort Cosworth (4x4) Inconclusive

  • 12 Allen’s Escort Cosworth 327bhp 321Lb/ft

The results are shown above and some cars have produced some incredible figures, two members went back to Engine Advantages for a re-tune on the rollers. Steve with his 2wd Sapphire Cosworth had his car re-mapped and his car now produces 362bhp and 318Lb/ft. Well done!. Also Ray also took his Escort Cosworth back to EA and unfortunately I don’t have his figure at hand but his car has been transformed by the live rolling road session.
