I have been a member of the Kent RSOC for just a couple of years now but
an RS enthusiast all of my life. Although I always lusted after so many
of the RS models (especially the 3-door Sierra, Series 1 Turbo and
RS1600i) they were usually just out of reach... 2005 saw a change in that
position for me and not wanting to do anything by half, I have gone from
no RS's to 2 of them. My daily drive is a MKVI RS2000 4x4 affectionately
known as the "Mule" (bought as a road car and track donkey). In October
last year, I finally managed to get my MKII RS2000 in Signal yellow and
was featured in Rallye News a couple of months later.
I joined the Committee over a year ago as the Newsletter editor and my
commitment and enthusiasm for the club has grown from there. It is the
aim of myself and the rest of the committee to carry on and develop
further all of the hard work and effort put in by the previous committee
and to raise the profile of the Kent group further still.
