What made you bought the car in the first place?
I was looking for something classic, something that reflects the era when I was still a kid and something fast. Sierra COSWORTH is very rare in Hong Kong, to my best knowledge there are probably only 5-6 exist there, and guess what.... not many people knows it, not even the cops! The objective is to get a very low key and yet fast road car there.
How long have you owned it?
I have owned it for six month so far~ But during my six months of ownership I did some really high mileage on the car for a tour in Europe, I did 8 countries, over 3000miles in 2 weeks! But the car will spend the rest of the life in Hong Kong where it will be exported later.
What other cars are on your list?
I'm also a VAG enthusiast, initially I was thinking of getting a VW MK2 Golf GTI, I know it's fast but I guess I'm still a believer for turbos, after a careful consideration, I turned to COSWORTH.
What mods have you got?
The car is pretty much restored back to standard now! Originally it had some mushroom style air filter, mirror style header tank and colorful boost and coolant hoses.
What's your favorite mods for your car?
My favorite mods are the restoration that was done to the car back to stock. I'm not a believer for concourse, my objective is to make the car looks as standard as possible but with uprated performance.
What's going to be your future mods?
Most importantly a set of coilovers, 17' rims and semi slick tires, I'm a believer on handling and I do have very high requirements when it comes to riding enjoyment rather than just power. I used to visit my usual garage with my VW MK4 BORA back and forth many many times to setup my coilovers simply because I wasn't satisfy at all. Power wise I will just go for MSD 320horses T3 program as I'm demanding for rapid rev respond, don't wanna a high power but laggy setup, likewise even you got a T4 with 450horses, you won't be able to step on it on the curves, I can still kick their ass with total balance and good corner skills~
Any lease favorite mods you had?
Oh, I'm really upset with all the previous mods that had been done to the car for the years before my ownership~ ha~!
What are your previous cars?
Well, I'm still keeping the VW MK4 BORA, the COSWORTH will be part of my collection!
How long have you been a club member?
6 months~
Favour aspect of the the club membership?
Although it's just 6 months I joined RSOC, but just in such a short period of time, I did make some nice mates here like Carl Hoey (COSFATHER), Nick Debnam and Chad. They all gave me great support on the car, but it doesn't ends there! We are now friends and would talk about anything rather than just cars! The club is not just about cars, it's also a platform where you can make some really nice friends in your life, you'll follow me once you joined!
